THE STORY BEHIND THIS MUG:
I believe that to 'create comfort' is a necessary part of daily life to keep balanced.
I originally adopted the mantra ‘create comfort’ at the end of 2022, as I prepared for my cancer treatment to remind myself to slow down, rest, and recover. To me, as the mother of two young children, 'create comfort' also means providing the love and stability they need to thrive.
I believe that to ‘create comfort’ is an essential part of daily life and that’s why I designed this statement stoneware mug.
When you fill your own cup (or mug in this case) you can better help everyone around you.
In our current society we often see carving out a bit of me-time, or treating yourself, as a special reward that must be earned.
The design on this mug intentionally resembles a scout badge because you have already done the hard work and earned the badge to 'create comfort' in your daily life.
With this mug I hope that you can find your own meaning of 'create comfort', from sitting down with a cozy drink, to the encouragement you need to tackle the day. I hope you will find your own meaning and make it a reality.
